Proceeds from this event benefit the Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery Program at Cardon Children’s Medical Center. This program provides care for children born with congenital heart defects or who develop heart conditions early in life.

Congenital heart defects are abnormalities in the heart’s structure that are present at birth. Approximately 8 out of every 1,000 newborns have congenital heart defects, which can range from mild to severe.

Children with heart disease are best cared for by a team of specialists, which will usually include pediatric cardiologists, pediatric heart surgeons, pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists, doctors specialized in the intensive care of children with heart disease, specialized nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and many others.

Mending a broken heart requires a blend of compassion, creativity and clinical excellence. With your generosity, we are excited to launch the Cardiothoracic Surgery Program at Cardon Children’s Medical Center and help children of all ages survive and thrive.
